Hope everyone within the reach of this email knows how much I appreciate all of you wonderful fans who've made this year, my first full year on my own, a very successful one! I know a lot of you out there have wondered....CAN SHE HOLD IT UP ON HER OWN? CAN SHE COME UP WITH GREAT NEW MUSIC THAT I WANTA BUY AND MAKES ME WANTA COME SEE HER LIVE? I truly hope those of you that have come out this year and seen a show, have walked away feeling confident that I am in this for the long haul...and feeling as though you were completely entertained. I feel like I am JUST getting warmed up! A little update...I have been using almost every single day off to write for and search for songs for my next album. I have already gone in the studio and recorded 4 songs for the project...that I am CRAZY about! Some of you have heard me do a few new tunes in the live show...as I love to try em' out on ya'll and see how you like them. YOU, the fans, are ultimately, who call in and request them...who get on I Tunes and order them...who go to your local big store and buy the CD's when they come out... and as you know, our business is under a bit of duress as much as any other. So we, as singers, songwriters, and musicians have to come with even better and more exciting material....I respect the fact the YOU, the fans....have the power to make or break an artist...if you don't show up to th e show's....if you don't show interest to your radio stations for songs you like, if you don't buy records to listen to....we don't have a job! That is why I am coming with some new music that I personally feel is unique, special, doesn't try to be politically correct or perfect for a specific demographic....just pure HEIDI songs and my hope is that you ALL love it...young, old, and everything in between. I played the new cuts for my record label this week and am looking for a response as to when I will have a new single out VERY soon. As you can imagine, I am chompin' at the bit to get back out there with new material. I was so proud of WHAT AM I WAITING FOR....and feel it truly was a wonderful body of work. I want this new record to show a natural evolution...I am singing with more confidence than ever...and comfort! This next step is HUGE for me...so, the gist of this message is that...I hope to put myself on the BIG MAP for good with this next step....and I hope that you, as my fans and friends....will absolutely love it! I'll be keeping you informed as to how it's all going...and giving you a time frame as well. These are tough times ya'll. I want to give you some more music that will make you FEEL something....music you can crank up to work out to...party to...sing along in the car to....cry with...commiserate with, celebrate to....dance to. And, lastly, I want you to know that I am gonna make this record as country20as it can be, when it calls for it...with bits of rockin rythym and blues and harmonica. A weeping steel guitar...a slamming beat...this music is not just like the country music you're hearing on your radio's....I don't WANT to sound like everyone else, so that's what it is....100% HEIDI.
